The Lady Flames finished an outstanding year with a 30-17 win over a potent CVCS team.
The Flames utilized a balanced defensive approach with great help defense and wonderful on ball defense to cool the CVCS offense to 17 total points .
Harper Adams made two 3 pointers and totaled 11 points for a game high .
Chloe Gearhart had an efficient 8 points to jolt the offense.
Our bigs played great defense and rebound Ed the basketball while Sydney Moore added four points , Clare Mohr, Norah Gingrich each had two points .
Quinn Staley steadied the offense with excellent distribution, while scoring a clutch 3 pointer of her own !
Great defense and rebounding from Lucie Byrd and Lexi Brechbill .
Raleigh Underkoffler , Olivia Crouse , Kassidy Hubers, Hannah Koons , and Ava Healey all added valuable minutes tonight to solidify how balanced and deep shalom’s team was this 2023-2024 year .

The Lady Flames survived a road win vs a depleted CVCS team. CVCS played a handsy 1-3-1 that frustrated the girls , however they kept a comfortable lead throughout the game .
Quinn Staley had another nice night of controlling the offense and creating openings for her teammates, she finished with two points , however we don’t track assists , steals and rebounds , which she had many .
Harper Adams had 6 points while filling the middle of the offense . Sydney Moore had 6 points as well.
Clare Mohr had 2 points off a nice pick and roll.
Lucie Byrd , Lexi Brechbill, Chloe Gearhart,
7 players scored tonight , a continued theme of balanced scoring for the Flames .

Grace Academy
Win29-13
Shalom bounced back offensively to push past Grace 29-13. The girls adjusted nicely to a 1-3-1 3/4 court press and eventually broke through to take a 13-6 halftime lead. Shalom came out and outscored Grace 9-3 in the 3rd qrtr to extend the lead to 13.
Ava Healey had two nice blocks against grace’s best offense threat and Raleigh Underkoffler skied high for a blocked shot as well.
Quinn Staley had another nice night quarterbacking the offense while sacrificing her own PPG to set up her teammates. Norah Gingrich had a career high with five points tonight .
Shalom balanced the offense attack with 7 players scoring led by Sydney Moore with 7, Harper Adams had a balanced game with 6 points , Chloe Gearhart had 5 , Norah with 5, Quinn Staley, Clare Mohr , & Olivia Crouse had 2 points apiece

A little bit of a football game in nature and score.
Shalom struggled to convert scoring opportunities against an aggressive Heritage team, but managed to pull out a road win 19-13 . A good test for the flames as they enter a series of road games prior to the playoff stretch . 19 points is the lowest output of the season for the girls who average 31 points a game in league play. Quinn Staley and Sydney Moore led Shalom scoring with 5 points each , Harper Adams added 3 points, Chloe Gearhart , Clare Mohr , & Ava Healey scored two points each.

The Flames survived a tough test against an athletic CVCS game . The flames held a 15-8 halftime lead and a 23-15 lead after three quarters , holding off several runs from CVCS and a pesky full court press.
Harper Adams led Shalom with 11 points and had an excellent defense night as well.
Clare Mohr found the right gaps in the zone and scored 6 points
Quinn Staley controlled the offense and had five points
Chloe Gearhart scored an efficient four points .
Lucie Bird and Sydney Moore had two points each while working down low in the boards . Ava Healy had two points and played spirited ball against her former teammates.

Frederick Warriors

Don’t let the score fool you, this was a hard-fought win, from a scrappy Frederick Team.
The Score was 11-7 in the 2nd quarter before adding three adding a jump shot and a foul shot to extend the lead to 14-7 at halftime.
Shalom came out hot in the 3rd quarter scoring 13 points to Frederick’s one point to extend the lead to 27-8 with Quinn Staley hitting two three pointers to give the Flames some breathing room.
Frederick’s quick point guard fouled out early and they couldn’t recover and match the speed and height of the Flames.
Harper Adams led all scorers with 8 points, with an impressive 6/7 from the foul line.
Quinn Staley ran the offense with poise and scored 7 points as well.
Sydney Moore supported the cause with 6 points.
Hannah Koons came in with a spark adding 4 points.
Chloe , Clare, Ava, Lexi, all added 2 points each and played excellent up tempo basketball.
Another balanced scoring evening for the flames. That’s five games in a row where the Flames have had eight or more players score, becoming a distinct advantage and trademark of this 2023-2024 team.

The Flames kept their hot streak going with a 38-4 victory over the Faith Falcons.
Strong defense and a balanced scoring attack is becoming this teams’ identity this year.
Quinn Staley played a well balanced game at point guard and incorporated her teammates into the action with 12 of the 13 girls scoring in the game.
Chloe Gearhart and Clare Mohr led all scorers with 6 points
Sydney Moore scored 4 early points in the game.
Ava Healey added 3 points
Kassidy Hubers converted a free throw for a point

The Flames held off a scrappy & improved Broadfording team.
Shalom’s length, size, and speed disrupted the Lions and only allowed three points in the 3rd quarter .
Quinn Staley had a breakout game with 14 points, including four 3-pointers.
This is the third game in a row where at least eight players have scored .
Harper Adams had a balanced game of offense and defense adding 8 points.
Sydney and Lexi contributed with 4 points each and excellent defense .
Chloe Gearhart had 3 points , with two right off the top.
Kassidy , Hannah, and Norah had 2 points each and Eva brought great energy and scored one point .
Lucie and Clare played great defense, several rebounds , and were big presence in the paint tonight and Olivia Crouse showed great hands a nose for the ball late in the game !

Shalom came out of the gate fast with a few quick scores and smothering defense to defeat Grace in Tuesday night’s MDCC matchup.
Shalom continued with another balanced scoring night led by Chloe Gearhart with 10 points .
Clare Mohr was hit from the field and scored 8 points of her own.
Quinn Staley had an efficient night with 7 points
Sydney Moore added 4 points
Harper Adams played a strong game with 2 points and excellent ball distribution
Hannah Koons and Kassidy Hubers came in a played outstanding defense and pushed the tempo adding two points each

The lady flames played a well rounded game and survived some hot outside shooting by the visiting MDSD team, who hit 5 three pointers.
Shalom had 11 of 13 players score led by Quinn Staley’s 1st quarter buzzer beater giving her 8 points for the quarter & game .

The girls played their home opener vs Heritage and came away with a strong victory. The energy was given out of the gate from former heritage player Lucie Byrd who scored the first two points and grabbed several rebounds and steals . Quinn Staley led all scorers with 9 points .Hannah Koons scored four points on her birthday and her 6th grade counterpart Kassidy Hubers scored 8 points. A well balanced effort from all the girls tonight .

7 players scored for the Lady Flames providing nice balance to the attack .
Lucy Byrd led all rebounders tonight with an impressive knack to clear the glass. Harper Adams was impressive in managing the offense and distributing the ball for several key assists.
Hannah Koons and Kassidy Hubers tallied their first points of their middle school career.
