The Lady Flames made the trek across the mountains to play the Rockets of Southern Huntingdon. In their final match of the season, every Lady Flame saw court time and showcased the growth and skill htey have learned this season. While there were moments of mistakes, the Flames dominated from start to finish and played solid volleyball, even with coach changing the person they normally play next too and it being a Monday Match!

Score were: 25-15; 25-18

What a fantastic match! This match brought everything, from heavy hitting offenses to solid digging defenses, from aggressive serving to an emotional roller coaster. The Lady Flames came out strong and fast in the first set and put Faith on their heels, taking a commanding 25-8 victory!

The second set saw the power of Faith as their girls served great, fought hard and put Shalom away 11-25.

The crucial 3rd set, saw Faith jump out of a 2-1 lead, before Shalom applied the pressure and took a 10-3 lead. Then the Falcons came back with great serving, solid defense, and a lot of off-speed attacks to narrow the game to 10-8. The Flames then brought back their energy and emotion their side and scratched their way to a 15-11 victory!

What a great final home match for the 2025 season! The ladies had to work hard and find some inner strength to complete this victory and stay undefeated at home this season!

What a night for the Flames against an excellent opponent and strong team. The Flames came out serving tough and had Heritage on their heels in the first set. The second set saw Heritsge come back at Shalom and scrap and tug at each play until they snatched their win in the second set.

At the start of the third set, the girls were asked to forget what had happened and start playing for little games to five. The first five went quickly and Shalom was on top. The second five also saw Shalom take the lead. Heritage was done, the fought back and got close before the Flames pulled out the eventual win!

Set scores were 25-16; 22-25; 15-9

The Flames had an amazing home crowd that led to a huge advantage as they came out fast and ready to play while bringing great serving to bear on the opponent. The Flames jumped out to an early lead in the first set and never looked back. The ladies kept the pressure on from the service line, but also tough hitting and creating pressure at the net.

Set scores were 25-5; 25-10.

The Flames took to the road against Grace Academy Knights and the start of the match was a struggle. The Flames quickly found themselves in a 1-6 deficit. They then began to work their way back into the match using solid defense and consistent attacks.

The defense was led by the foursome of London Boushell, Katie McCleary, Nadia Zentz and Adriah Henry, who just devoured attacks coming at them all night long, frustrating the Knights attack. This back row tandem ate up 20 different swings on the night and fed our offense that hit the ball at a blistering .347% in the second set.

The service game was on point with only four errors in the first set and deafening 0 errors in the second set.

The scores were 25-17; 25-8.

The Flames came out hot and put a lot of pressure on the McConnelsburg squad. The first set saw strong serving and hitting from every rotation, after getting behind from the first server.

The second set saw timidity work it way in as the girls lost their communication and struggled to keep the serves consistent.

But the third set saw a determined squad that came out and dominated the set from start to finish,

The Lady Flames took on the Maryland Orioles in Frederick and came out quick for a fast first set win at 25-15. The second set saw the Flames behind at 4-10 at one point, before the team leaned into each other and tightened up the system and pulled out the victory at 25-23 over a very solid, organized team!

.The Flames struggled against a t that served very well. The Flames looked tired and were very quiet on the court.

Set scores a were 25-23; 25-18.

The Lady Flames traveled to WV to take on the solid Faith Falcon squad. The ladies came out strong in the first set and took a lead early on and continued to dominate, winning the first set rather well.

The second set saw the Flames struggle for them start and drop into a large deficit before clawing back to keep it respectable. The flames showed heart, determination, and grit as they fought off a 10+ point deficit to close the gap before falling in the second set.

Then third set was a slow start, only to see the Flames settle down, play our typical three hit ball, and balance the attack across all the hitters. Each server did what they had to and pressured the falcon defense as well, before taking the win twice, due to a bad call that was overturned and had to replay the point.

Set scores were 25-19; 16-25; 15-12

The night saw the following highlights:

Katie McCleary with 7 aces and 12 digs; Nadia Zentz with 10 digs; Fallon Barrett with 3 kills and 3 digs; and Kendall Strait with 2 kills

The Flames up held their win streak at home taking straight sets from the southern Huntington Rockets. The first set saw a squad play well and overcome some issues to win. The second set saw a little more struggle as the ladies kept it close the entire match, only to pull out the W in extra points.

The scores were 25-20; 26-24

The night was a highlight for Alivia Jones with 3 kills and 2 assists, Nadia Zentz and Fallon Barrett both had 2 kills, and defensively Katie McCleary led with 4 digs.

The Lady Flames had a great night in the court against the team from Broadfording. Ladies played in new positions and tried lots of new skills during the match.

The win was set up with strong serving and solid defense throughout each set, even with players in different locations than they are used to. The players worked well as a team and had not out of rotation calls and played a very smart competitive match.

The night was highlighted by Kendall Strait’s 6 aces and London Boushell’s 2 kills.

Set scores were 25-17; 25-14.

What a night for Shalom Volleyball! The ladies started the night with strong serving and solid play and fought hard for every point. The first set was another long set going to extra points, but this time Shalom came out on top. The 2nd set saw Shalom take a lead, and lost the lead, only to tie it up again before dropping the set 23-25,

The final set was a better set, but shalom trailed most of the way before tieing it up at 10-10. The ladies fought for points, dug power hits and grew as a unit before pulling out the 15-13 victory!

Our lady flames stated the match strong by taking a 15 point lead on the heavy serving arm of Emalyn Crist. The team supported her and dug some solid freeballs and forced so strong hits on the CVCS Blazers. The first set ended at 25-6 with Shalom providing ample attacks and aces.

the second set saw the younger players take the court and while they played well, they struggled at the service line to produce consistent repeated serves and kept the match close, only to drop a heart-wrenching loss at 24-26.

The third set saw power servingnretunr and the players reduced their errors to lead to a 15-4 vicroty.

The Lady Flames opened the season with a 25-6; 25-13 victory over the Rams from New Life. Most of the scoring came off serving with Kendall Strait, Alivoa Jones, and Emalyn Crist leading the charge and recording the majority of the serves.

The team fell into a few holes as the Rams returned quite a few serves while the team was watching. Shalom will look to improve their over pass defense this week and continue to be aggressive on the court and at the net!
