Welcome! I warmly invite you to learn more about the elementary school at Shalom Christian Academy.
As you enter our elementary school, you will immediately sense a culture of community. Through the leading of our dedicated faculty and staff, students are encouraged to interact with one another in positive ways and are held to high standards for their behavior. Parents are encouraged to be active participants in their child’s education. Whether it is hosting a class party, reading to a group of students, or assisting with one of our many events, parents are an integral part of our culture of community at Shalom. Our experienced teachers are dedicated to assuring that each student obtains academic achievement and desire to work closely with the parents in this process.
The Lord has richly blessed SCA with outstanding faculty, staff, students, and families. We take the responsibility of transforming our students into spiritual champions very seriously. The elementary curriculum puts emphasis on fundamental academic skills, habits, and knowledge. Our teachers model “living curriculum” as committed Christians.
Bible Interactive Curriculum – Bible knowledge, Bible Catechism, and Bible memory program. Our Bible curriculum is based on an Anabaptist foundation. Jesus is the center of our faith, community is the center of our lives, peace and reconciliation is the center of our work.
Language Arts – Phonics, Reading, Spelling, Writing
Math – Saxon
Science & Social Studies - Units developed by our experienced teachers who have used the state academic standards as a guide to ensure continuity of topics.
