I teach physics,
chemistry, physical science, geometry, and Algebra 1.
Physics is the study of matter and energy. In this
class, we study mechanics, heat and thermodynamics, and wave motion.
Mathematics is an integral part of this course, so the student should be
proficient in Algebra 1. It is advisable to have taken Algebra 2 also.
Chemistry is the study of matter, its properties,
structure, and composition and the changes that matter undergoes.
Mathematics is an integral part of this course, so the student should be
proficient in Algebra 1.
Physical science introduces important topics in chemistry
and physics to ninth graders.
Geometry introduces students to a branch of mathematics
that deals with the measurement, properties, and relationships of points,
lines, angles, surfaces, and solids. In this course, students learn the
principles of logical reasoning and develop deductive reasoning skills.
Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 are prerequisites.
