Job Descriptions
I am Nancy Ruth who teaches third grade students at Shalom Christian Academy. I teach Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading, Spelling, Penmanship, Writing, Language, and Bible.
Favorite Aspect of Teaching
My favorite aspect of teaching is listening to children apply God's principles in our studies. I find joy every time I see God's principles being taught and modeled in the church, school, and home. I get excited seeing students becoming enthusicastic about their studies.
Favorite Bible Verse
Isaiah 54:5 is one of my favorite verses: For your Maker...the Lord Almighty is His name, the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer: He is called the God of all the earth.
Educational Background
My educational background includes studies in Elementary Education at Messiah College and Cedarville Universtiy. I received my Masters of Education through Millersville and Shippensburg University. Throughout my studies, ten field experiences were incorporated, both in public and private institutions. Other teaching experiences in which I have engaged are Sunday School and Bible School.
Personal Hobbies
Outside of my teaching preparations I enjoy playing the piano and gardening.
