Positions:  Director of Development and Assistant Administrator

Education:  BS Business and Economics, MS Secondary Education

Years at Shalom:  This is my 11th year.

Aspects of my positions: Shalom"s tuition accounts for 70% of the total cost of education.  The remaining 30% needs to be raised through fund raising efforts and events.  This includes the annual fund and fair share programs.  Our fund raising events include:  the Shalom Golf Tournament, "Race For Education", Pie Sale, Magazine Sale, House For Shalom, and the annual Shalom Dutchfest.  It is my responsibility to give direction and play a leadership role in these events.  Recruitment of students is a major area that I share Mrs. Petersheim.  Public Relations is also an area that I have responsibility.  I assist the Administrator in serving on committees and in administrating the athletic program.  I enjoy people and the involvement in directing events.  My interaction with the students is very special.  The opportunity to speak often in chapels is one I enjoy greatly.

Hobbies:Traveling  to historical sites with my wife Kathy and traveling to Chicago to visit my daughter Kori and son-in-law Matt; participating in sports like golf and running, supporting my favorite New York teams,Yankees, Giants,  and the Knicks, and reading authors like Richard Foster and Dallas Willard.
