1) My philosophy statement for technology is

2) I have a bachelor's degree in the natural sciences with a minor in math and  I am currently working on my masters in science education.

3) I started teaching at Shalom Christian Academy in 1999 and I am grateful for the faculty, board, and staff, who care for the students by their prayers, personal attention, and encouragement.

4) Favorite Verse: To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy... to the only God, our Savior be glory, majesty, power...Jude 1:24-25

5) Interest: Origin of Life ministry,( I give science presentations to high school and college age students on the topic of, " Did life begin through self-ordering of chemicals or by intelligent design?" landscaping, and glass etching

                                                      COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

    

Techincal Education.

    6th grade: The student will develop a proficiency in the safe use of woodworking handtools to complete a blue bird house

            1) The student will interpret and build to the blueprint of  the birdhouse

            2) The student will correctly finish the birdhouse using procedure of their choice

            3) The student will be introduced to drafting techniques in preparation for 7th grade shop

    7th grade: The student will understand the process of completing an approved wood project safely using power tools. 

           1) This will entail the student drafting and dimensioning a project  for approval by instructor

           2) Building the project under the supervision of the instructor

           3) Finishing the project with a stain, varnish or paint

    8th grade: The first half of the course, the student will understand how to program a LEGO robotic vehicle to do various movements and                     routines as prescribed by instructions from teacher handouts. 

            1) The student will view videos and practice programing steps.
