Welcome to my Web Page

Ms. Jean Hess

The subjects I teach are sixth and seventh grade science, seventh grade Bible, and sixth grade keyboarding.

Some of the favorite parts of my teaching are: seeing the enthusiasm of the students as they learn new materials, watching the students explore as they learn in lab settings, and realizing how much the students will have learned when we finish a specific unit of study.

One of my favorite verses is: Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, Oh Lord my strength and my redeemer.

My first teaching was in a fifth grade class in Waynesboro School District. Then after moving to the Washington D.C. area, I began teaching third grade. After moving back to Pennsylvania I taught sixth grade at the Chambersburg Area Middle School.

Educational Background:

Messiah college was where I began my undergraduate studies.  Shippensburg State College is where I received my degree in Elementary Education.  My master's degree is from Pennsylvania State University.  I have completed additional studies at Wilson College.

Hobbies that I enjoy are reading, walking in different neighborhoods, gardening, and canoeing.

Courses that I teach:
